Protecting the right to health and achieving #UniversalHealthCoverage means protecting people from financial hardship and ensuring out-of-pocket payments for health services do not lead to poverty.

Today, Dr Justin Koonin spoke to over 200 civil society representatives, policymakers, and academics from Europe and Africa at Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU 2024's event, 'Towards Health Equity: Strong Health Systems, Universal Health Coverage and Social Participation.'
