Las Cruces Agents apprehended 2 USC felons w/ extensive criminal histories at the I-10 checkpoint. A K9 search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of fentanyl pills, 6g of meth, & a firearm.  Criminal records include armed robbery, larceny, trafficking, & smuggling.

El Paso Station Border Patrol Agents, along w/ TX DPS, assisted Emergency Medical Services in rescuing an injured migrant from the dangerous canal. Subject was safely transported to a local hospital & provided further medical treatment.

Fort Hancock Station USBP agents & Texas Department of Public Safety foiled an attempted smuggling operation apprehending 5 migrants and the driver, a Mexican national Paisa Gang member.  The driver will face federal criminal charges for the smuggling scheme.

Today we pay tribute to Border Patrol Agent Freddie Vasquez, from the El Paso Station, who succumbed to complications from COVID-19, while serving in the line of duty.
His sacrifice will always be remembered with gratitude and respect.

Las Cruces Anti-Smuggling Unit agents & Air and Marine Operations thwarted a smuggling attempt of 22 migrants,  plus the driver, trying to evade the USBP checkpoint. The driver will face criminal charges.

Vigilance!  Las Cruces Anti-Smuggling Unit Agents & Homeland Security Investigations Special Agents discovered 36 migrants inside a stash house. To date:  178 stash houses interception with 1,729 apprehensions.

Alamogordo Station Checkpoint USBP Agents successfully seized 56.6 lbs of methamphetamine hidden in a vehicle's gas tank. The discovery was made possible by the initial alert of a K9 unit, highlighting the crucial role our K9 teams play in protecting our borders & communities.

El Paso Station Confined Space Entry Team continues to intercept migrants inside storm drains.  These spaces are filled with hidden risks: toxic fumes, animals, confined spaces, & floodwaters that rise rapidly.  Individuals that exploit these tunnels will face prosecution.

Kudos to El Paso Sector’s Intelligence Unit & Grupo Conjunto de Inteligencia Fronteriza El Salvador for securing the successful repatriation of a migrant from Guatemala.  The subject had an active warrant from Guatemala for Aggravated Assault & was removed from the U.S.
