Marines purchase valentines at the Da Nang PX, February 1967. Mr. Groth was serving as a civilian combat artist for the Marine Corps at the time he made this drawing.

“Full Metal Modine,” is a photographic exhibition of images captured by the actor Matthew Modine during the filming of “Full Metal Jacket” and will be on display at the National Museum of the Marine Corps on March 2, 2024.
