as a Palestinian artist, I am begging you to boycott Eurovision this year until genocidal Israel is kicked out. You can't be dancing and singing along in the finale which includes Israeli government backed singer while children are being killed in Gaza every day

1. More evidence of the life-long impact of school absence. The recommendations? Support for families; address long-term health issues. Both fine. And third? tackle truancy. Nothing about education reform. Nothing about SEN. Nothing about inclusion. tinyurl.com/mr3ve2nf🧵1/2

I was told not to post about Palestine because I risk getting suspended, and I can have a bigger impact by providing medical care on the ground (e.g. @msf) after completing my training.

But I dream of a Palestine that doesn't need international aid and foreign physicians.

Gaza Genocide happening neither in a vacuum nor behind closed drawing rooms. It’s systemically promoted, ideologically validated & socially celebrated. Rabbi Eliyahu Mali: ‘Today he is a baby, tomorrow he is a fighter, we will shoot them.’

This is Gaza today, even after 7 months of horrors.

Safety valve agreements are about balancing budgets not meeting children and young people's needs. If anyone was in any doubt about this, the evidence is clear.

As international governments show just how weak their Rafah ‘red lines’ really are, a doctor in Gaza describes what the current Israeli onslaught feels like to those on the receiving end.

Interesting conversation with a consultant paediatrician today. She was wondering why allowing children with to listen to music or chew gum in lessons, to aid concentration, is not generally accepted, but giving them methylphenidate instead is fine. Difficult to answer.
