Yet another borough where low traffic neighbourhoods prove to be hugely popular with voters. Congrats to Lewisham Labour.

Excellent piece. And much of London has been here before & stands in solidarity with Liveable Streatham Wells & Healthy Streets for Higham Hill and Lloyd Park, both areas going through 1st weeks of scheme where everyone instantly becomes a traffic expert & social media goes even more shouty than usual...

Our trial LTN is now up & running, making streets safer and more sustainable🌳

We will be monitoring the impact on air quality and traffic volumes throughout the trial and you will have a chance to help shape the final design

It's really odd to see Greater Cambridge Partnership pushing shared path design in urban areas (and even rural) which significantly limits the movement capacity and the comfort of pedestrian users.

Camcycle strongly welcomes a new Greenway improving walking, cycling and wheeling between Cambridge, Milton and Waterbeach but we don't support Greater Cambridge Partnership current proposals.

Thought experiment: if there was a doubling of motor vehicles (from 41 million to 82 million) would the UK experience more or fewer traffic jams?

(The cars-don't-cause-congestion crowd insist that numbers of motor vehicles has nothing to do with snarled motor traffic.)

No one in the public realm agreed to be tested on like this. Incredibly irresponsible governance here. This should’ve never happened.

Ahh just had to drive to and from vets on Iffley Rd for dog emergency (ok now) at rush hour from Abingdon road. Based on Cllr Liam Walker & other shrill anti LTN voices you'd think it'd taken hours as on boundary but no 8min to & 11 mins back. Quicker than precovid & more cyclists

Last night my best friend in the whole world got hit by a car whilst crossing Yateley Road in Harborne Birmingham, as they turned right and didn’t stop to turn from Harborne Road at high speed, and the car didn’t stop, just drove off. This was between 5.55 - 6.03. Were you…
