It all comes down to delivery. “Nice shirt, where did you get it?” sounds safer than “The top looks good on you” You’ll never know how your co-worker will perceive a physical compliment, not something I would suggest

I find that commenting on psychical attributes is pretty common in Indonesia. If I were to comment Gemoy in USA I would’ve been crucified
