After several years of incarceration, Deanna transferred to the Community Parenting Alternative to return to her community to care for her young children. By helping her transition into her community, she returned to school and is accomplishing great things! #SecondChanceMonth

Earlier this month, 20 DOC honor guard members participated in the cordon of honor for WA State Patrol Trooper Gadd, who was killed in the line of duty. We were honored to attend and commemorate the bravery, service, and sacrifice of Trooper Gadd.

We hosted Federal Bureau of Prisons at WA Corrections Center for Women for a firsthand look at the Residential Parenting Program. We've signed an agreement to allow mothers in federal custody to transfer to WCCW and take advantage of a program that is not available in federal prisons.
