On #WorldChildrenDay , highlighting WFP's impact in #Yemen : nearly 2 million #children in over 4,600 schools have received nutritious snacks and meals this year, supporting their health and education.

Tropical Cyclone #Tej hit #Yemen , Al Mahrah in Oct, causing floods. Thousands were displaced& communication was down. World Food Programme-led Emergency Telecommunications Cluster's support at the Emergency Operations Center provides the only means of communication with the humanitarian society.

#HappeningNow World Food Programme has started the distribution of food assistance & reached up to 37% of our beneficiaries so far in #Socotra , #Yemen .
#CycloneTej has made the transportation of food assistance more challenging. But WFP is on the ground, making sure food is delivered on time.💪🏻

While #CycloneTej is dissipating, World Food Programme in #Yemen is still working hard 🦺 to support the Early Warning Center’s dissemination of up-to-date info about the storm ⛈️ and ensure that our GFA (General Food Assistance) is not delayed for our beneficiaries.
