April 7 each year is #WorldHealthDay - celebrated to mark the anniversary of the founding of WHO in 1948 & draw attention to specific health topics of concern to people all over the world. The theme this year, is #MyHealthMyRight

WHO Kenya today handed over 940 tablets to the Ministry of Health, an effort to support MOH's digitalization goal & to manage data in the immunization schedule. Handing over the tablets, WHO Repr A Diallo said the gadgets will help to improve data quality & make it verifiable.

Today is World Tuberculosis Day.

#TB remains a significant public health challenge in the African Region.

An estimated 2.5 million people contracted TB in the African Region in 2022, and more than 400,000 people died from the disease within that same year.

We must #EndTB !

The African region is making steady progress towards ending #TB , thanks to concerted efforts by countries to address the threat of the disease.

World Health Organization (WHO)'s #EndTB Strategy calls for countries to reduce TB deaths by 75% and cases by 50% by 2025.
