This week's Welsh wetland word is Addasiad.
Addas = suitable, Addasiad = adapt/change.
Our wetland species are very special, with each one having gone through an addasiad to be able to live in a wetland. Addasiadau include webbed feet, gills, and unique beaks.

This week's Welsh wetland word is Pureiddio/Pureiddiad.
Wetlands pureiddio or purify water and reduce pollution. They filter sediment and nutrient run-off as water flows through - removing harmful substances and making water safer for us humans.

Two standout birds from my visit to WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre yesterday. A Long-tailed duck and a Willow Tit.
