Garissa is the biggest town along Tana river and faces the brunt of flooding. Spillover from the Seven Forks dams, rains from Mt. Kenya's windward side, rains from Kitui hills and Garissa's flat, low-lying location combine to cause alot of flooding in the former provincial HQ.

If the cabinet secretaries feel micromanaged, they should resign. Leave him to do all the work. But wringing your hands while earning full salary and perks and expecting us to feel Woisheee is BS.

This land isn't riparian but a flood plain. So safaricom didn't break those approval rules per say. Just a poor uninformed decision. For Floodplains you leave them for farms, play grounds, golf, fields, etc. Not that it's illegal to build, just that it's a bad decision to build.

Let’s normalize saying “elected representatives” instead of “elected leaders”. Saying “leaders” has the connotation of being surbordinate to these individuals or subject to their rule. We vote to be represented. Not ruled or dictated upon. Our wishes & needs should carry the day.
