WLC awarded Valerie Lower the Captain Shane Mahaffee Scholarship for Excellence, named after US Army Captain Shane Mahaffee '94, who was killed in the line of duty in 2006 in Iraq. We remember and honor Capt. Mahaffee and all those who have served and made the ultimate sacrifice.

Yesterday was the last day of ITAP. The Intensive Trial Advocacy Program (ITAP) is a seven-day course designed to help develop the advocacy skills every litigator needs to be a successful trial lawyer. #WidenerLawCW

Prof. Johnson (WLC's inaugural dean) was elected to the Army Heritage Center Foundation Board of Directors. The AHCF helps the U.S. Army Heritage & Education Center realize its full potential as a hub of knowledge & expertise for the military, govt., academia, & American public.

Students, Faculty, and Staff gathered in the Pit on Wed. for a Spring Social event with food, superlative awards, and live acoustic music performed by Dean of Admissions Matthew Kerns. The event marked the end of spring semester classes and was sponsored in part by staff council.

We gathered on Tuesday for the annual work study appreciation luncheon. Our student workers are truly invaluable to the Widener Law Commonwealth community!

We join the Widener community in mourning the recent passing of Robert Bruce, Widener University’s 8th president. Bruce (far right) pictured in Sept 1989, along with the the late Anthony Santoro (center), was instrumental in establishing what is known today as Widener Law Commonwealth.
