On this day 2015 Historic Scotland closed Dumbarton castle early to prevent Rangers fans getting a cheap view of the game from up on high. Tickets for the match were scarce due to the single stand at the stadium.

Golfers scratch their heads and look on as Rangers open pre season training in 1996 by doing laps around Haggs Castle near Bellahouston Park in the morning and then on to Anniesland College for the afternoon session.

Pre season starts here. Iconic Adidas training wear for the Rangers squad as they pound around parkland in Glasgow 27 years ago this month.

Saddened to hear of the passing of Craig Brown, genuinely one of the nicest and most helpful people I have ever known in Scottish Football.
Here he is the centre of attention after World Cup '98 signing every last piece of paper and putting a smile on everyone's face on return
