#Bluejays fall 6-1 to KC to complete a 2-4 homestand.

Three days off in the next eight will be welcome indeed. It's not April anymore.

The execrable Nick Anderson comes in for the bottom of the ninth to bring this game, and this homestand, to a merciful conclusion.

Tomorrow's day off could not come at a better time.

Michael Massey puts what is the likely the finishing touch on this one, taking Nate Pearson off the foul screen in right field with 2out in top8 for a 3-run homer.

Sheer ridiculousness from Bobby Witt Jr. on that Bichette ground ball up the middle, and we go to bot6 with #Bluejays down 3-0 and the Silver Fox taking over for Bassitt.

We're halfway home in just over and hour and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has the game's only hit so far.

#Bluejays put two on for the first time today, on a couple of walks with Daniel Vogelbach beating out a double play ball in-between, but Jansen's cue-ball grounder to second ends the inning.

0-0 to the 5st.

The bad call costs Bassitt nothing but four pitches as he strikes out Massey to end top4. Still 0-0.

Salvador Perez may well have been hit on the right hand by Chris Bassitt's 1-and-2 pitch, but he also swung at it without question.

A brutal call by Vic Carapazza at third base leads to a replay review that puts Perez at first instead of the inning being over. #Bluejays

After allowing zero balls in the air over the first two innings, Bassitt gives up three fly balls in top3. Barger makes two very nice catches, one going hard to his right and the other hard to his left, Springer hauls in the other in deep right-centre.

Top2 was a 'King and his Court' inning for Bassitt. Two comebackers to the mound, one grounder to first.

He didn't need anybody but Vladdy and Jano.
