⚠️Severe weather in effect⚠️ A tornado watch has been issued for Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Valid March 14 from 7 p.m. to 12:01 a.m.

A warning will be issued if required and further updates will be shared here.

Controlled burns will be conducted at #WPAFB 's Area A on March 13-14 between 10am & 5pm each day. Residents may see or smell smoke from the event and are urged NOT to report it. Controlled burns are beneficial for new vegetation and help reduce the spread of invasive species.

#WPAFB 's 'Giant Voice' emergency management notification system will conduct tests March 12-13 to ensure base safety and security. Surrounding communities should not be alarmed and are advised not to contact police or emergency services.

🔈The #WPAFB Explosive Ordnance Disposal Flight will be performing demolition training operations at the EOD proficiency range on WPAFB Area A, today between 9:45 and 11 a.m. There will be a total of 1 detonation.

Reminder❗ Gate 1B (Springfield St.) on Area B at #WPAFB will be open beginning March 4 from 7 to 9 a.m., Monday through Friday. Any vehicles in line at 9 a.m. will be redirected to use Gate 19B (National Rd.) or Gate 22B (I-675).
