Today, I spoke at #NLCCCC to local leaders, at the center of the fight against COVID, about how the American Rescue Plan addresses the needs of cities, towns, and villages. We announced $250 million for localities to help underserved communities stay safe and get vaccinated.

In the last week our daily average for shots administered crossed 2 million and we announced that we’ve taken steps to ensure enough vaccine supply for every American adult by the end of May, 2 months earlier than previously expected. Tap for more information on our progress.

This week, team The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center administered some of the first Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines -- the only single-dose shot authorized by the FDA.

We're working to ramp up its production because a third safe and effective vaccine means we can vaccinate more people more quickly.

This is a great sign — but we can't slow down.

Today, President Biden announced a breakthrough collaboration between Johnson & Johnson, Merck, and the federal government to ramp up vaccine production. Because of these efforts, we will have enough vaccines for every American by the end of May–two months earlier than expected.
