Year 5 enjoyed their visit to the Dock Museum this afternoon where they learnt about the growth of Barrow in Victorian times. Dock Museum

Today, Year 4 were learning to play motifs which they identified within the Roman song they have been learning.

In computing Year 5 have been creating their own vector drawings. This week they created a penguin, after copying the penguin they transformed it into a parrot 🐧🦜

Year 5 started their new Art topic this afternoon called ‘Using Armatures’. Today we made pots using newspaper and different coloured tissue paper ⭐️

Today in STEM Club, we learnt about life from a female in STEM’s perspective. She talked about life working on wind turbines and then made our very own windsocks as inspiration!

Today a group of children went to a writers workshop and met the Author Colin.R. Parsons. Colin is an Author of fantasy fiction for children and young adults. The children worked hard to work from a brief to write their own stories and then got to question Colin Colin R. Parsons

Year 5 had a visit from Susan Benson from Barrow Library today. They learnt about how Barrow in Furness grew during the Victoria era and the impact of industries on our town. @barrowlibrary

Year 3 had a brilliant day trip to Water Park today 🛶 we were so impressed by the bravery and teamwork shown by all. Thank you so much to our wonderful parent helpers, we had a blast… and what a day for it!☀️Water Park, Cumbria

Year 2 had a great day learning about Furness Abbey and how the monks used to live.

Year 2 got a visit from Buddy and the NSPCC to help them learn about how to keep themselves safe.  Then they were off to their school trip to Furness Abbey.’NSPCC

This afternoon in Year 4, the children were thinking about body form and movement. In pairs, one child posed while the other manipulated a paper manikin replicating their partner’s pose.

A huge well done to these Year 4 pupils who have been selected to have their ‘Once Upon A Dream’ poems PUBLISHED🌟Look out for the book ‘Once Upon A Dream - Imaginations Unchained’ published on 10th May 2024!

Years 4 & 5 had a fantastic time at St Paul’s church taking part in the interactive RE Life Exhibit! They focused on Jesus’ teaching, his miracles, Old Testament prophecies about him, and his death and resurrection.
