I have a very difficult time understanding why a publicly-reported university alumni event, as a series of many, where two alumni are invited to one classroom to share their experience with current students is a smoking gun for 'military-civil fusion,' however you define it.

The joint lecture as reported by Tsinghua's website. chemeng.tsinghua.edu.cn/info/1040/1123… long story short: a professor organizes a series of lectures for his students and invites alumni to deliver them - 1 from academia and 1 from industry every time. Both of them are Tsinghua alumni.

I am pro Israel. I am pro Palestine. I do not support all of the Israeli governments policies. I deplore terrorism, which can never be excused. It is not hard to hold all of these positions at the same time.
