Ok, more basic nonsense.
I’m hoping to replace the need for a couple of pivot tables to summarise some data. I *know* I can do it easily in R, I just can’t remember how.
Plot x growth form (ie tree/shrub/forb etc)
Sum of cover
Count of abundance

Help me escape Excel!

Wrote my R code and it works perfectly 😁
It’s going to save so much time.
Now all I need is a master species list of all the plants of Central West and Western NSW, because I currently only have the CW so still have to manually enter a bunch of data 😴
Soon…

The bulldozers destroying habitat for endangered Gouldian Finches, black-footed tree rats and over 270 bird species at Binybara/Lee Point.

This is a place beloved by thousands of people across Darwin. Its loss is a failure of our environment laws, and deeply upsetting.

For everyone following Lee Point, the bulldozers have arrived on site this morning.

Over 270 bird species, including the endangered Gouldian Finch, live here. This is a monumental failure of our environmental laws.

Ok I just vacuumed, which of course means we need to recover from the traumatising experience.
Ft. Baci and his new blanket, which was $4 from the op shop and came with a heap of free cat hair! (Don’t worry, it has been washed many times)

Look what I acquired from FB! It’s like a metre tall!
I don’t have any appropriate windows to install it in so I’m thinking I’ll need to frame it. That’s a thing, yeah?

It had my name written all over it!

Long-time followers of mine should also know that Cape Lilac (Melia azederach) aka White Cedar over east is native to northern Aus & also deciduous!
It’s a popular street & garden tree all over for this reason, & provides food for many an urban parrot, inc RT Black-cockies!

I’m trying to convince myself I’m going to be super productive with this long weekend.
The fact that it’s 1030 and I only just got out of bed means that I’m off to a great start.
Must resist the urge to immediately relocate to the sofa to watch tv…
