So many problems when you are not truthful and honest about your personal COI.

In the immortal words of Dr. Sean Mackey:

“I am neither pro-opioid nor anti-opioid. I am pro-patient.”

IMO: The decision to prescribe opioids should be made based on one factor:

***What is best for your patient***

Not what your peers think.

Would it be unreasonable to suggest that the number one factor that should influence clinician’s opioid prescribing behaviors *should* be the well-being of the patient and the management of their pain?
