I am so unbelievably angry. Seeing grown ass cops tackle students (often young women) to the ground and arrest them because they were protesting peacefully is unforgivable. UT Austin is culpable and deserves to pay for this.

So to review: a protester accidentally poked a right-wing provocateur in the face with the spherical tip of a small flagpole, resulting in no injury, and multiple media outlets reported it as a Jew being stabbed in the eye.

Meanwhile tens of thousands of Palestinians are dead.

One unnerving element of this massacre is how relentless it is — in the sense that we’ve read of children killed so young that they had no names yet, and then the dead crushed by machines, buried en masse, or left unburied. The cruelty has touched all levels of existence.
