The Connecticut Racial Profiling Project analyzed five years of crash data and found that the secondary offenses that HB 5324 names do not contribute to crashes. Here are some examples:

CT Racial Profiling Project found that crime, accident rates, & racial disparities FELL when municipalities with high racial disparities in traffic stops shift away from secondary violations to hazardous driving behaviors (IE: speeding). So, tell your House Reps to pass HB5324.
