i feel much less of an urge to make sweeping declarations about whether or not “protests are working” than to remind people that people are still being bombed, starved, and held captive with the material support of the us. until that ceases, nothing else really matters imo

I'm Jack Petocz, a 19 y/o activist that's been fighting for marginalized people for years.

Yesterday, I was expelled from Vanderbilt University for peacefully protesting the genocide in Palestine.

Vanderbilt will let sexual assaulters walk free, but expel passionate organizers.

I used to sometimes find these sorts of attacks difficult to manage.

But if you've got moral clarity - when we know we're up against a great evil, and that our opponents are defending the indefensible - that gives us all a huge strength, and the attacks don't matter.
