What gets me f*cked up is that fact that these 'nontraditional media forms' are not new kinds of media! TikTok news anchors literally make our stories their video backgrounds Social media's profit model is using our work and not to paying us for it. It's a rip-off engine.

Reports say LA Times is losing $40 million a year. Its owner, Patrick Soon-Shiong, has an estimated net worth of about $5 billion. Even if he never makes another penny he could cover those losses every year for a century and still have more than $1 billion left over in the bank.

Sending good energy to all of the recently laid off Los Angeles Times journalists. May all who want to stay in the biz find good jobs.
