Which is why it's important for institutions to have career events for trainees, where one invites people with careers beyond academia to talk to them.

Today, I'm in beautiful Barcelona, to give a career talk about life as an editor and meet with faculty members at GeneticsUB Universitat de Barcelona to discuss their research.
