We need a bespoke visa scheme for academics from Gaza.

At present no one from Gaza can come to the U.K. unless they have a pre-existing visa, 6 months left on it and direct family here.

This was done immediately for Ukraine. Now we just watch as our colleagues are slaughtered

And for the voices who refuse the reign of silence and continue the struggle of hope.

Once again we have the states in the south to thank for working tirelessly for months to bring a glimmer of hope to the Palestinian people in Gaza who are facing the plausible risk of genocide and levels of violence that defy imagination. And any possible peace is for us all.

and we cannot but hope (verb), it gets harder because we have to keep grasping it, breathing into it, and reconciling ourselves with changes in what we hope for (or not), with what ‘love’ would do and stay the course.
