The 24th Kayan National Day ceremony took place in Iowa State, United States, on April 6, 2024, and U Aung Kyaw Moe, the Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Human Rights of the National Unity Government, delivered a speech in honor of the occasion.

It was an honor to attending 24th Kayan National Day ceremony and deliver a remark. It is truly inspiring that Kayan people manage to protect and promote their identity, cultures and literature despite the struggle in fighting for equality and the self determination.

I welcome the appointment of Julie Bishop as the new UNSG Special Envoy on #Myanmar . We are looking forward to with her and her office closely restoring democracy in Myanmar and on finding durable solutions for Rohingya.

Sham election of the junta is political exit lane for the junta. The people of Burma is not buying those consistent lies of jutna. We have had an election in 2020 and have legal and legitimate parliamentary CRPH Myanmar.
