Massive faculty walkout at Columbia today in solidarity with suspended student protestors.

Faculty wore sashes reading “We support students” & are calling on the schools to unsuspend students from Barnard and Columbia who participated in the Gaza Solidarity Encampment.

Democracy Now! co-host Juan González, who helped lead the 1968 student protests at Columbia University, says the school has been much more severe in its response to today's protests for Gaza. 'We occupied buildings. We did not allow classes to go forward in 1968,' he says.
