Around 3.8 million people experienced destitution in 2022, a 61% rise since 2019. ⬆️

This included around 1 million children, an 88% rise since 2019. ⬆️

The no. of people experiencing destitution has more than doubled in the last 5 years, while the no. of children has tripled.

OK, I’m just going to put this out there. What’s going on in the Middle East is hideous. So many innocent lives lost. Here in UK I can see what should be reasoned debate turning into ruined friendships. We all of us need to listen and try to understand, even if we don’t agree.

Speaking to Alpa Patel the Prime Minister doesn’t make specific guarantees about HS2 going to Euston or Manchester. He does say “We have spades in the ground on HS2 and we are absolutely focused on delivering it and getting it delivered and making sure we keep an eye on the costs
