STILL MASKING Béatrice Copps, MD, FRCPC Because when you're expecting to pass out from the pain and you somehow hold it together it's not quite as bad as you were expecting. These conversations shouldn't even happen. Various forms of pain medication should ALWAYS be offered. Like getting a tooth pulled.

STILL MASKING Béatrice Copps, MD, FRCPC So why isn't it the procedure stopped immediately and numbing offered for those patients who do experience severe pain? My fucking dentist can manage that, do we need to start sending doctors to dental school too?

@Pallas46610487 STILL MASKING Béatrice Copps, MD, FRCPC I had a biopsy, embedded IUD removal and insertion done. All in one sitting. It was over an hour and was excruciating. I, too, was screaming and I have a high pain threshold, too. 😕

STILL MASKING Béatrice Copps, MD, FRCPC If the vast majority of patients only experience mild to moderate pain, it’s weird that I have yet to meet a single woman who has had that experience with IUD insertion & removal. Instead, EVERY woman I’ve met with an IUD has described it as excruciating.

🏁The iatrogenically harmed menstruatrix🤐🕷️ @kaitprobably Vedan Anthony-North STILL MASKING Béatrice Copps, MD, FRCPC Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, just because someone doesn’t have sensitive calves, nipples, teeth et. doesn’t mean someone else doesn’t.

Disregarding people’s pain because a few don’t feel it is why people end up traumatized.

Wulfsethen 🇺🇦🐀 Sonny Day @WafflesPlanchon STILL MASKING All im hearing is is that a woman's discomfort has become so routine and common in medicine they don't want to waste resources making the process comfortable even though they are perfectly capable and its q common practice in other countries
