Always a pleasure to talk with Stephanie Desmon and the Public Health On Call crew. This really is a transition time for COVID-19 - cases aren't surging like during the first few years of the pandemic, but we know it is still a source of many hospitalizations and deaths.

“We do not see COVID-19 reach the same low levels as influenza and RSV during the late spring and summer,” says Molecular Microbiology and Immunology at JHSPH's @AndrewPekosz.

A couple of important messages from the CDC's recent COVID-19 vaccination and respiratory infection guidance

Mark your calendars for the new NIAID Flu Hub website launch on March 7th! The #FluHub website centralizes networks, programs, and resources within NIAID that support the Universal Influenza Vaccine Strategic Plan.

COVD-19 home tests are a good surrogate for 'infectiousness' and I firmly believe that a negative rapid antigen test should be the marker for resuming normal activities - and that return to activities include masks and social distancing for several days.

I really enjoy lecturing in this class and look forward to meeting the new group of attendees.
