My work bestie is Turkish Cypriot and when I’m down in London she’ll get me a box of baklava. Took half a kilo home yesterday and oh my goodness that was needed. It was also accompanied by Turkish biscuits. Do not sleep on fresh Turkish baked goods, they are immense!

Back in the UK and no that’s not the sound of me sobbing while looking at my work schedule for the next two weeks, there’s just something in my throat. Going to Nottingham on Wednesday which makes a change. Haven’t been there in years! (Used to live on RAF Newton in the 90s)

Not a bad way to spend your 5th anniversary :) I met Mr H working on the Barnardos Pension Scheme. We’ve since moved onto other Schemes separately (in Mr H’s case, many Schemes since!) we don’t see each other as often as we’d like but it’s getting easier as the boys get older.

Decided to give ze pensions/ false start UK spring, a rest this week and came to sunny Portugal instead. 10/10, would highly recommend.
