RIP Mbongeni Ngema, legendary creator, playwright and 1998 Standard Bank Young Artist for Theatre. Such tragic news, our condolences to his family and loved ones.

While primarily trained as a printmaker, 2023 Standard Bank Young Artist for Visual Art, Stephané Conradie (32), is known for her intricate bricolage assemblages.
She has exhibited all over the world and her works sits in multiple prestigious permanent collections. #SBYA2023

2023 Standard Bank Young Artist for Jazz is the multi-instrumentalist Darren English (32), He recently won his second Global Peace Song Award (GPSA) in Los Angeles for his song Requiem in Peace and is rising star in South Africa, Europe and the US. #SBYA2023 #JazzAward

Kgomotso ‘MoMo’ Matsunyane is the 2023 Standard Bank Young Artist for Theatre! An actor, playwright and director with a visionary outlook and ability to create opportunities for herself. She was head writer and performer in Naledi Award winner Hlakanyana: The Musical. #NAF2024
