Reading The Bishop Murder Case by SS Van Dine. Hard to argue with Raymond Chandler’s assertion that Philo Vance is ‘the most asinine character in detective fiction’ but the story (about a series of nursery rhyme inspired murders) belts along & the jazz-age NY setting is great.

Today we saw the amazing Bowder Stone in Borrowdale and the equally impressive crazy golf Bowder Stone in Keswick.

Explored beautiful Derwentwater yesterday. Absolutely love the old-school Keswick Launch Co. Boats, so cool!

We saw this last night and it was great fun! Do check it out if you’re in the area and can tear yourself away from your ‘horrid novels’ for an evening.
