So interesting. I know Kate Winn has used Acadience for a while. Wonder if she finds the same. What do you do? I don’t find this difference with the ORF, but do with the Maze.

Had anyone else noticed that the Acadience Maze Assessment is not aligning with their other reading data? Spoke to another Gr.3 teacher about this today. We brainstormed possible reasons why, but are just curious what others found.

A child gave me this portrait at the end of the day today. I told her how much I loved it. She said, “You should hang it on your bedroom wall. Then it will bring your joy every day that you wake up.” How can I argue with that?! ❤️❤️❤️ #KidsAreTheBest

A daily joy:a student found me in the library today. With a giant smile on his face he said, “I finally made it to Level 8 in Lexia.” He was just beaming. I have never seen him so happy. He talked about how MrTweyman showed him his graph & what progress he’s making. So thrilled!

The Acadience testing today also had a Gr.1 teacher & I re-thinking some groups & target areas. Fantastic! Now we can get the most out of the coming months. 💕

Loved doing Acadience alongside educators today. A Gr.1 teacher said to me, “This is so much easier than I thought. I’m going to try some on my own.” Yay!! ❤️ A success!

Working alongside some staff members today to dabble in Acadience. Glad that we can work through this together in addition to having some more formal training.❤️

Such happy chicks today! The amazing Mrs. Shaw figured out the heater problem and now the chicks are warmer. No wonder they see her as their momma. 🐥

These K students are working on fluency. Rereading a text really seems to support this. We can then talk about vocabulary as well. ❤️

I had a few minutes with a Gr.1 student today. She was on the iPad before I came and wanted to stay on it. What if I could show her something else to do on it? I love how this activity connects images with the word. It can also help with building comprehension.❤️❤️

I also love how one kindergarten student decided to write down all the names of the students in the class so that the chicks could learn them. Someone else made a picture. I see an opportunity here to teach the chicks how to read.❤️

Aviva and the chickens … 😂 I do have some wonders. I really could spend all day just watching these chicks. I won’t, but I could.
