We’re excited to welcome Cat Pleska, writer, educator, storyteller & author of RIDING ON COMETS to #AWPW2W ! Cat’s mentee is R. Murphy Fox, a writer, poet & priest working on a manuscript about how they accidentally helped start a cult. We can’t wait to see what’s ahead for them.

Introducing our next #AWPW2W CNF mentor, Jessica Handler! Jessica is the author of two nonfiction books and a novel. This season, she is mentoring Andalyn Young, a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans writing, sound, and performance. We’re so glad to have these two!

Our next mentor is Hannah Grieco! Hannah is based in Washington, DC, where she edits for Alan Squire Publishing & teaches at American University. Her mentee is Christina Berke, Writer, an adjunct professor working on a memoir about body image and more. Congrats to this #AWPW2W pair!

Introducing #AWPW2W mentor @solidgoldmacher, a nonfiction author & Author Accelerator–certified book & proposal coach! Amy’s mentee is Patty, who is writing a book that braids the stories of three women who have a child with cystic fibrosis. Best of luck to this pair!

Joining #AWPW2W is Tracy Crow, an agent, publisher, author of 6 books & former Marine Corps officer. Her mentee is @alisabohling, who’s working on a memoir in essays about how her search for home & healing became a political education. Can’t wait to see what the season brings!

Next up: Laura Carney is a writer and copyeditor in New York, and the author of MY FATHER’S LIST. Laura’s mentee is Anne Marie Wells, a Queer, award-winning poet, playwright, and storyteller navigating the world with a chronic illness. We’re so excited for this #AWPW2W pair!

Now introducing our #AWPW2W CNF matches! We are so excited to be joined this season by Neema Avashia, author of ANOTHER APPALACHIA. She will be mentoring Kait Hatch, a multigenre writer, mixed-medium artist, and trained Buddhist chaplain. A huge congrats to this fantastic pair!

Also returning is Kristen Witucki, author of two books and curriculum and content editor for Learning Ally’s College Success Program. Her mentee is @kolinacicero, whose work searches for meaning in loss, abandonment, and disappearance. We’re delighted for them to join #AWPW2W !

Returning to #AWPW2W this season is Yvonne Ventresca, author of YA novels PANDEMIC and BLACK FLOWERS, WHITE LIES. Her mentee is Andrea Silen, who has lots of experience with children’s nonfiction but is working on her first novel, a YA mystery. Sounds like a perfect match to us!

Once a #AWPW2W mentee and now a mentor, Jennifer Savran Kelly works as a production editor at Cornell University Press and also binds books. Their debut novel is ENDPAPERS. Jennifer’s mentee is Sayantani Roy, whose writing straddles India and the US. A huge congratulations to this pair!

Introducing mentor Ciera Horton McElroy! In addition to being the author of the novel ATOMIC FAMILY, Ciera is also a CEO and film consultant. Her mentee is Laura Nagle, a writer and translator from French, Spanish, and Irish. Can’t wait to see what #AWPW2W brings to these two!

Our next #AWPW2W mentor is Joseph Holt, author of the collection GOLDEN HEART PARADE. He teaches at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. His mentee is Noel Torres, who earned an MFA from Adelphi University and writes fiction (and sometimes poetry). Best of luck to this great pair!
