Wonderful shot of a flame azalea beneath a Japanese maple 🥰

Pic o’ the day, really

Iris display

Pot marigold

Nearly last of the tulips in an unbelievable (by consensus) tulip season

Views you maybe can use

In orange and yellow (tinges of red) hues 😊

Happy one more “iris extravaganza” day

A few particular beauties I picked (pic-ed‽) up today

Hit 83° here

Fortunately Fahrenheit, not Celsius 🫠

Your current dose of color on the violet wavelength

Ie, purpliciousness 😊

Lilacs, nuff said!

Unusual tulips (‼️ seriously) with friends

Rockrose

Not much more beautiful than a beautiful April day

And this was one.

Hope yours, also.

Japanese flowering cherry

Flowering dogwood (our valley’s singlemost favored tree)

Appropriately named fringe flower (strange creature)

Rhododendron blossom (required, in every yard)

Consider yourself drowned in pinkaliciousness

Personally still staggered that it’s spring.

Yesterday’s Tulipalooza is today’s Iris-extravaganza

Bowled over (figuratively not literally) by them today

A smidgeon of their splendiferousness

In gentle views and hues 😊

The season of irises is too lovely, too short.

Last year (presumably because of low rainfall) we had almost none (roses, same!! 🤯)

This year their grace abounds.

Here’s a dollop of purpliciousness for your viewing pleasure. 😊

Happy flame azalea day.

Sound on for videos.

Differently colored flame azalea.

Color matched tulip.

Observe a very, much too windy day

In yellow and orange.

Alpenrose, subset of rhododendron family, wonderfully bright yellow

Three rather stately red tulips

Two variegated tulips

And one gardener’s creative tulip display

I will miss the tulips when they’re (shortly) gone

Views you maybe can use

In yellows, red, and purple hues

Your daily dose of purpliciousness

Lilacs and irises

Tis their season

Two of my favorite floral scents, though with irises you need to get close

Lilacs you need only walk by

Yikes. Tulipalooza reborn.

I don’t make the rules.

Positively cannot resist iridescent sunshot tulips, top left, bottom right, and their brethren on the diagonal outtakes. 🥰

Last blast Tulipalooza

These two gargantuan serrated-edge & sunshot behemoths at the left

(Yes I know, gargantuan behemoths is redundant, but srsly)

Accompanied by some normies

In the best tulip year of my living memory 🥰

Pic of the day, this vibrantly pink azalea

Bearded irises

Lilacs in an old nearby cemetery against a southern view

And new to me, feltleaf ceanothus, member of the California lilac family! It is purple, but who knew‽

Views and hues you maybe can use. 😊🩷💜

Sunshot tulip; is it not perfect‽

Tulip grouping, swaying

Whoever decided to make a tulip the color of vanilla buttercream frosting‽

Repeat first comment

I don’t make the rules

Mother Nature makes the rules

I just snap a few

Not just the lilacs waving in the wind, but the entire view, this short video! 🥰

Lavender iris

Deep purple iris

Still shot of my favorite blossoming bush of springtime

Rhymes with lilac 😊

Consider yourself drowned in purpliciousness

Just a wee bit of moistliness

On a thoroughly gray day following a night and morning of relentless rain

But snapped these pics of irises having weathered it

Yellow irises are not commonly seen

(Hopefully not in your eyes!)

Tulipus giganticus (latin nomenclature, obviously)

Yellow tulips

Multicolored tulip splay from a generous creative gardener

Ah spring ….

We thought the phone would never ring 😊
