2 years ago we organised a special advance screening of our movie DANGER CLOSE for one of the Long Tan veterans Col Adrian Roberts (Retd) as he was terminally ill. Commandant of Australian Defence Force Academy along with 26 ADFA Officers & Cadets also attended.

Thanks Jackson. A lot of hard work and tears went into making it and we couldn’t have made it with veterans working on the film and support from Australian Army.

At 7:10pm 18 August 1966 the Battle of Long Tan was over.

108 young boys from D Company 6RAR Australian Army incl. 3 Artillery Observers from RNZA fought off 2000+ North Vietnamese and Viet Cong at Long Tan.

Sadly 18 young Australians and 245+ Vietnamese died.

I’ve watched a fair few in my life & I have to say DANGER CLOSE: The Battle of Long Tan is the best war movie I‘ve seen. My heart was racing the whole way through. Absolutely incredible story & humbling bravery by the Australian Army & New Zealand Army troops. Anzac soldiers distinguishing themselves again.
