Michelle Donelan MP Meanwhile, Professor Dame Ottoline Leyser, whose initial response - now also deleted - was craven and pathetic, also needs to consider her position. At the very least a proper public apology is required.

For political reasons, Michelle Donelan MP recklessly spread a damaging and dangerous lie about named academics in an area *directly relevant to her Ministerial responsibilities*.
She has now admitted this and paid damages.
