The next few days will sadly result in what we were afraid of. There is a high-risk potential for a catastrophic morning frost across most of central Europe. The air mass is so cold for late April that it could significantly damage blooming fruit trees, vineyards, and crops.

You cannot stop an idea whose time has come. The process of decolonization is ongoing and the earth herself is telling us that the limits must be respected and those limits are governed by care of one another and the web of life, of which we are a part of, not apart from.

I look back on these moments with pride. Dr Walker and I ran an emergency shelter to house nearly 200 migrants who showed up in our town on Halloween. Dignified, trauma informed, culturally appropriate housing and the control of diseases was our goal. Working on our book now.
