It's so hard to escape the sense that, for any given piece of legislation, regardless of it's impact on the health of the nation, the average Tory MP's primary motivation is self-preservation.

I have so much respect for anyone who runs an RCT, let alone an RCT in such an involved, time critical intervention.

But PLEASE STOP TRYING TO PROVE REBOA WORKS.

It doesn't.

If only the Tory predilection to 'Christian forgiveness' extended to anyone other than the rich white men least in need of it.

this is the essence of western coverage of the middle east. Arab lives are cheap, expendable, unworthy of mention and their plight certainly not worthy of sympathy.

Arab deaths are a price worth paying for sustaining the western capitalist world order, and we're all complicit.

No-one should be shocked by lack of outrage over 30,000 killed in Gaza. Hundreds of thousands died in Iraq because of US/UK invasion and even after links to 9/11 debunked people (incl on 'The Left') didn't blink. These were poor Muslims, whose lives are framed as worthless.

Yesterday, the Government admitted 142,490 children live in temporary accommodation - up 14% in a year.

Attacks on the right to housing have been ignored for too long.

That's why, for weeks, we've aired a non-existent TV show trailer telling this story to get people's attention

I’m a Jew and I feel pretty safe.

Two things make me feel unsafe:

1. The sadistic unending murder of Palestinian civilians by Israel, supported by US,UK, Canada etc.

2. The attacks from other Jews, meant to silence me (and everyone).

Those 2 things stop, I feel 100% safer.

This is what we’re being actively distracted from in the UK with propaganda around peace protesters being extreme and scary. It’s Orwellian.

Every ICU trial on whether to use any intervention ever: 'Yes, sometimes'

Every intensivist ever: 'Which times?!'

If you’re a British politician or journalist who demanded Labour suspend people over antisemitism but aren’t calling for the Tories to suspend people like Anderson and Truss over Islamophobia, then you don’t actually care about racism or bigotry. Oh, and you’re a hypocrite.

Stand down lads, it was just islamophobia, nothing to get worked up about. Not real racism, just the acceptable kind.

Just remember the rules:

When the Israeli ambassador uses the phrase 'from the river to the sea', it can be published as a reasonable view in a national newspaper

When Palestinian supporters use the same phrase, it is called 'genocide' by a national newspaper

Got it

Islamophobia is so part of the natural discourse in this country that any objections raised are roundly dismissed and ignored.

It is a form of racism that isn't just allowed in this country, but is normalised, accepted and encouraged.
