I am honored to have received the endorsement of Rep. Jason Crow in my campaign for Aurora City Council Ward VI. Congressman Crow, I will do my best to serve the citizens of Aurora as a servant leader, as you have done so well for us.

Stomach cancer affects children as well as adults. Brayden Peerson was diagnosed at age 11. Stomach cancer awareness and better treatments especially for children can save lives. Go Brayden, you are a warrior!

Arapahoe County planning commission is meeting again on August 15 to finalize these regulations after hearing testimony last night. The new regulations need to eliminate loopholes that would allow well pads within 500 feet of reservoirs and to protect future planned reservoirs.

I don’t see the original email from @[email protected] but if that is Joel Greenberg yes I told Howard to include you on the host committee and thank you so much for your generous contribution that will make this happen!

Arapahoe County new oil and gas regulations open for comment until June 29. Check out my recent post on the need for thoughtful review of these new regulations. m.facebook.com/story.php?stor…

Kyle Clark Hmmm…I finished up at NORAD after Desert Storm, then moved to Aurora, in 1996 to work at Lockheed. This spot certainly gives me hope for the future of C/S. Aurora has yet to be governed with this constituent-focused philosophy. Well done, Gents. 🤸🏾‍♂️

If you build it they will come. But if you zone it, will they build it? The land use bill SB213 is up for final house vote today but don’t count on it to bring affordable housing. A better approach is tying transportation funds to TOD and affordable development.

Thank you Leslie Summey Jessica Campbell-Swanson for listening to the people’s voices today and voting for a moratorium on new oil applications until the County corrects its flawed regulations. ☹️ your colleagues had private talks with oil and gas companies instead.

Thank you Rep Meg Froelich @mjweissman for your efforts on this. Unfortunate that many of your colleagues don’t see a problem with this clear conflict of interest. We must never dilute ethical principles in the interest of profit.

Honored to work with @mjweissman to take on predatory lending. High interest low dollar loans trap Coloradans in cycles of poverty, HB 23-1229 aims to limit the predatory practices of those providing alternative charge loans and we just passed out of the Finance Committee.

Arapahoe County and Aurora residents, please make your voice heard before April 11. County staff has identified problems with our oil and gas approval regulations for NEW drilling and there is a proposed 6 month moratorium on NEW applications to get the regulations correct.

The Silicon Valley Bank failure is a great example of why we need laws such as Colorado’s Public Deposit Protection Act to protect public funds. Legislators, resist the temptation to “de-regulate” or “privatize” public investments.

SB23-110 does not provide guardrails proponents claim. Allows more than DOUBLE investment-grade interest rate, no cap on prepaid reserves, discount rate, issuance costs, decades of compound interest, or call premiums. 8% coupon can become 15% or more effective rate.

SB23-110 set for vote in Colorado House needs to be amended to drop section 4 or killed. Would legalize developers issuing high interest junk bonds to themselves on terms they set, paid by taxpayers over 40 yrs. Representative Andy Boesenecker Ruby Dickson

This is an important first step in making housing more affordable in metro districts. Decades of high compound interest from failed development should not be paid by taxpayers. If debt is too risky for any investors to buy it is too risky for taxpayers.

We fight racism by challenging any system that inflicts more harm instead of meeting needs & righting wrongs.

When we fund better schools & cleaner neighborhoods, not bigger prisons & more pollution, we replace cycles of racism w/ opportunities to thrive.

Thank you Rep. Story Tammy Story and Rep. Parenti for sponsoring HB 23-1065 so that ethical rules of conduct may be enforced for special district public officials. Colorado deserves ethical government at all levels.
