Black Ashley Our Black children don’t need us to show them ‘tough love.’ The world will be tough; we are allowed to be their soft place to land when they need a second chance and grace. That’s not failure.
The work of Faith Ringgold brought life to so many of our experiences and thoughts as Black folx. I just want to remember all the beauty and stories she gave to us through her art. Rest in Power!
63 years ago today, 6-year-old #RubyBridges integrated William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Many, including white moderates, believed that she was “out of order.”
Thank you to Ruby Bridges and her family for being “out of order.”
