What a shocker! Starmer likes Beethoven's Ode to Joy, which was commissioned by the London Philharmonic in 1817 (168 years before the EU adopted it as their anthem), and which is regarded as one of the supreme achievements in the entire history of music. Has the traitor NO SHAME?

Thank Dawkins for Amazon Prime. My trusty tassimo coffee machine gave up the ghost yesterday afternoon. A new one was delivered at 8am, just as I was preparing for the misery of a cup of instant. And with a 15% consumerfest discount too.

Who can recommend an article on making responsive sites without media queries, eg using Flexbox/ Grid's intrinsic fluidity? Preferably one that has a case study, so the way to think about it gets discussed?

Critics haven't been kind to the new series of The Crown but I really enjoyed shouting 'Behind you!' to the Queen and Charles when the Ghost of Diana appeared. Mocking its obvious emotional manipulation is like sneering at a Disney cartoon; of course it's shit, just go along.

'I will have such revenges on you both,
That all the world shall—I will do such things—
What they are, yet I know not,'

Bastards take a break from punching other bastards. Everyone applauds.

[Offstage: civilians bleed out. Exeunt.]

For the past 4 decades, whenever I've been waiting at a train station and my train comes round the bend, the weird opening riff to the velvet underground's 'train round the bend' comes into my mind.

I'd put money on it that there are a number of a11y folks who THINK that something is fully keyboard accessible and managing focus correctly who might not be aware of this gotcha: tpgi.com/how-to-avoid-b…

As it's only me and El Son, we didn't have a Sunday roast. Instead, we made Dublin Coddle: sausages, bacon, potatoes, black pudding, onions carrots and apple slow-cooked in cider.

FB tells me it's 8 years ago today that I first saw this picture of the Chuckle Brothers with a restauranteur whose arm looks like Barry Chuckle has put a big severed cock in her drink. RIP Barry.
