Findings like this make me even more proud of our AltaMed Health Services pharmacists who provide PrEP and PEP on a walk-in basis. It takes a concerted effort to train and support pharmacists to do this while running a busy pharmacy. PrEP navigators are essential for training & support.

#California SB159 authorized pharmacists to prescribe HIV #PrEP to increase access to HIV preventative medications. However, a new #CHPRC study found that just 11% of CA pharmacists surveyed had prescribed the medications.
