CSC is grateful for the many volunteers who commit to helping our staff every week. In March 2024, our dedicated volunteers donated more than 530 hours to The Bridges. This equates to a donation of $10, 601 in time worked. What a caring community we live in!

CSC volunteer Alicia Brown was introduced to The Bridges during a year she spent doing street outreach & advocating for the city’s most vulnerable. Now entering her 7th year as a volunteer, Alicia continues to influence her family & friends to join her.

THANK YOU to CSC's volunteer, Gary Whetung. As a Friday dinner volunteer, Gary sees firsthand the impact he makes in the lives of those we support; when the kitchen is short-staffed, it falls to a few individuals to do the work of many. His time is valuable to our team.

CSC celebrates the more than 200 individuals who volunteer at The Bridges. They give their time to make dinners, gather trash, pack lunches for our IOB crew, and create successful fundraising events. Our work is made lighter by their donation.

Volunteers are familiar faces to many who participate in our programs. From the Thursday morning breakfast group to the corporate volunteers who help on community clean-up days, volunteers are contributing to the quality of life for CSC participants & our neighbourhood. #nvw2024

Volunteer Week celebrates volunteers & their valuable contributions. The sharing of time, skills, empathy & creativity is vital to the inclusivity, strength, & well-being of those they help. CSC volunteers help us to provide impactful programs & services to those in need daily.

Canadian citizens receiving income are required to file tax reports every year. For individuals supported by The Bridges, Blair Voluntary Trust staff are available to provide assistance. Since Mar.1st, this team has completed 210 tax returns! Amazing!
📌Tax deadline is Apr.28th.

Tony A & Gary A of 𝐓𝐨𝐧𝐞-𝐆𝐚𝐫 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬 are suited up & ready to play! A generous member of our business community, they lend support in many ways, including our annual golf tournament.

The International Day of Pink in April is meant to make the world more inclusive, especially for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community as it celebrates the first step towards ending discrimination on age, abilities, gender, race, and sexuality. Today we show our acceptance and support.

We do what we do because we care. However, it is nice to get a “thank you” from individuals we support. Trust staff recently received a lovely note from a program participant who is learning how to manage his income.

Each day we provide 80+ nutritious dinners & offer clean bedding & towels to those needing emergency overnight shelter. This means daily laundering. Your donation today helps us with much-needed supplies to keep these vital services running!

As a member of Landscape Ontario, In Our Backyard | Garden & Yard Services 's Coordinator, Brenda Walsh was at the Kitchener Home & Garden Show as their representative & participated in planting demonstrations. *New in 2024, IOB will be providing subcontract services for other landscape professionals!
