I’ve been in or around politics for over a half-century now.

I’ve watched as corporations ransacked our system.

In 1952, the corporate share of federal tax revenue was 32%. In 2020, it was down to 7%.

The world’s 500 richest people collectively added $852 billion to their fortunes during the first half of 2023.

That's an average of $14 million a day for each.

It's not radical to tax the rich. It's radical to allow this level of extreme wealth concentration to continue.

The rule creating production diversity standards for eligibility was a bad idea, and so is this modification. The Academy should drop it; it’s not AMPAS’s job to police how movies are made, and the only net effect of these rules will be to lock out some indies from awards.
