Earlier today, I made a statement in the Senate of Canada to mark #BearWitnessDay : youtu.be/QMGfnjBcSAs. Tomorrow I will join the First Nations Child & Family Caring Society and others across the country to honour the late #JordanRiverAnderson and call for the full and proper implementation of #JordansPrinciple .

Bear Witness Day honours Jordan River Anderson and his family, and is an opportunity to come together to “Bear Witness” to ensure Jordan’s Principle is fully implemented.

Jordan’s Principle is a child-first legal rule that ensures all First Nations children and young people can access the products, services, and supports they need, when they need them, in a manner free from discrimination and aligned with the Tribunal’s orders ❤️

Today is #BearWitnessDay , an important date in the timeline of #JordansPrinciple at the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal. In the Tribunal’s first non-compliance order, May 10, 2016, was the deadline given to the federal government to fully implement Jordan’s Principle.
