On the basis of profiling, Customs@IGI Airport have seized 36 Iphones Valued at Rs. 32.61lacs concealed inside boxes of liquor from two Indian nationals who arrived from Hong Kong. The seizure was made under Customs Act, 1962. Further investigation is underway.

Based on passenger profiling, Bhubaneswar Customs at BPI Airport intercepted one passenger, who arrived from Bangkok by Indigo 6E-1066 on 16.04.2024 at 7:30 hrs. Personal search led to recovery 935.510 grams of gold from rectum concealment in paste form having 99.99% purity.

Customs TVM Zone stopped 7 smuggling attempts this week, seizing 3.72 kgs gold worth Rs. 2.74 cr. Smuggled cigarettes worth Rs. 6.12L, drones valued at Rs. 11.2L and currency worth Rs. 4.3L were also seized in 9 separate incidents. #IndianCustomsAtWork CBIC PIB India
