Riot police has been deployed to beat up 'O'level Examination markers at MSU campus after their 20 000rtgs allowances has not been paid.

The same is being reported at Mutare Poly where other markers from Manicaland are based.

Why don't the riot police mark the Exams themselves

In Masvingo, ZIMSEC officials have reportedly barricaded themselves inside their office. We call on Zimsec and Ministry of P&S EdZW to rescue the situation at all centres. We also call on them to facilitate the immediate release of two male and one female teacher arrested at MSU Gweru

We are declaring a major incident at MSU Gweru Main campus where ZIMSEC has called in armed police to disperse markers who have refused to proceed with marking until they are paid their living allowances. If there is no money, Zimsec officers should mark,or the marking is aborted

We demand the return of two teachers that have reportedly been arrested at MSU Gweru campus at the instigation of ZIMSEC. Demanding payment is not a category of crime in this country. If the two hostages are not returned, all markers should down tools now in all centres
